Asmita Care Sanitary Napkin Vending Machines in 50 schools in and around Pune city were donated under Project Udaan. This machine is manual and does not require electricity. Menstruation has always been an intimate and worrying topic for girls and their parents, but the Asmita Movement has made good quality pads available to girls at school at a low cost.
Therefore, girls can go to school on all days of the month without hesitation. Teachers and parents are expressing satisfaction as the girls have benefited a lot from this activity. For the management of generated waste, Asmita Movement has been signed an agreement with P.M.C.
Apart from normal girls schools, it also includes deaf-dumb, blind and mentally challenged schools.
