Asmita Movement lead by Asmita Medical Research Foundation is a social wing of Gupte Hospital situated in Pune. It was formed with a mindset of creating a safer space for underprivileged girls and provide to them with a platform to nurture their individual personalities and attain their full potential.

We at Asmita Medical Research Foundation work with a team of highly experienced and passionate members who are trained in medical, sociological and environment related subjects which give us a palette full of topics to create awareness and talk about. We also support daughters through creating community-generated, voluntary resource pool to share experience and knowledge for common good, with the special involvement of families with only girl children.

Asmita Movement has multiple projects running under this big umbrella. We have touched the lives of over 40,000 girls and women and the number keeps adding on. We do so by creating health awareness camps, health check up workshops, menstrual hygiene projects and creating livelihood for women and girls associated with us.

Asmita Movement is specifically focused at realization of both individual and collective self-esteem providing inner strength for under privileged girls and women through innovative community practices. Towards this end we have partnered with other NGOs like Jagruti, Swaroop wardhini & Seva sahayog samstha, Ganesh Enterprises, Menstrual Hygiene Day Organisation who are working in this field to create life skill learning programmes to make these girls self reliant.
